Empowering Growth: The Launch of STAR Corporate University

The year 2024 has been one of the most challenging in our journey as a company, yet one that we should celebrate and remain optimistic about. These challenges have given us a deeper and more profound meaning of the word ‘winning.’

At the forefront of our efforts to overcome this year’s battles is our Managing Director, Mr. Samir Elbaba, whose resolve remained unshaken despite the storms and uncertainties. Having worked closely with him, I’ve witnessed firsthand his tireless efforts to hold everything together—never giving up, despite the overwhelming business climate in the country.

This year has tested us all, yet we have shown resilience, strength, and unwavering commitment. At QSS, the word ‘retreat’ does not exist in our vocabulary. Instead, we have turned adversity into an opportunity, developing a way to cultivate an environment where talent and skills are nurtured for personal and organizational growth.

It is in this spirit of resilience and forward-thinking that we proudly introduce the STAR Corporate University, a landmark initiative in our commitment to continuous learning and development.

The STAR Corporate University is a testament to our dedication to empowering employees through professional growth. It adopts a Corporate University model designed to provide structured learning pathways, enhancing skills and aligning individual aspirations with organizational goals. This initiative highlights our belief that continuous learning fuels innovation, collaboration, and success.

 

The Learning Program

​

The program enrolls employees who demonstrate exceptional commitment and enthusiasm for acquiring new skills. Guided by the HR department, these employees will embark on a progressive journey of skill enhancement and academic alignment. Through knowledge-sharing and mutual encouragement, we aim to foster a cohesive and impactful learning culture.

Program Objectives

​

We aim to foster continuous learning, motivate employees through recognition, and cultivate a “pay it forward” culture. The program also builds a supportive community for shared growth and provides clear pathways for career advancement.

 

Enrollment Guidelines

​

  • Open to regular employees with two years at QSS, participation is cost-free.

  • Candidates are selected by HR and reviewed by QHSE.

  • Enrollees must complete relevant training, stay disciplined, and engage actively to achieve Member or Mentor status.

 

Rewards Program

 

Top performers earn titles like Summa and Magna Cum Laude, with additional distinctions under the Sustainable Learning & Development Warriors program for dedicated participants.

 

Membership Benefits

​

Members access online and physical learning resources, workshops, and mentorship opportunities, fostering both personal and professional growth.

 

Feedback Mechanism

​

Regular feedback ensures the program evolves to meet participants’ needs effectively.
